Intake and Assessment Worker Junction Support Services

JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role:

The Intake and Assessment Worker coordinates the intake and assessment process for the organisation, offering a flexible response in meeting the needs of children, young people, single adults, and families looking to access programs within Junction Support Services.

The core purpose of this role is to provide a visible and accessible entry into Junction’s programs, through increased understanding, efficient response and assessment of all individuals presenting needs. The Intake and Assessment Worker will also be responsible for ensuring that adequate processes are in place to provide efficient and effective service delivery and to ensure that individuals and external services are effectively directed to an appropriate service based on their needs.

Selection Criteria:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification such as Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or any other relevant degree.
  • The ability to undertake adequate needs assessments with clients.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the personal and social issues contributing to homelessness and family breakdown
  • Meticulous organisational skills with careful attention to detail
  • Demonstrated commitment to Junction Support Services values
