JOB DESCRIPTION

An expression of Interest (EOI) is being sought for a part time Intake Assessment and Referral Officer 4 days per week at our Fairfield Womens Health Centre located in Fairfield. EOI Closes 5th December 23 

Salary package in accordance with Health Professionals Award dependent on qualifications and experience.

Under Sec31 (2) of the Anti-Discrimination Act to be a woman is a genuine occupational requirement for this position.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Intake, Assessments, Screening, and referrals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in direct servicing as reception desk person 
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in computer software applications, and data bases. 
  • Understanding of WHS practices 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications/ or relevant experience in the field
  • Demonstrated experience in Community Development or other community work
  • Demonstrated experience in working in the NGO sector, and community services work
  • Knowledge of women’s issues, particularly those which relate to domestic violence, trauma and Womens Issues  
  • Proven organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Commitment and capacity to implement quality management principles
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team
  • Demonstrated experience in working with CALD populations
  • Commitment to feminist philosophy and principles

Desirable Criteria:

  • Bi lingual, Arabic speaking, or Vietnamese speaking 
  • Knowledge of the Fairfield LGA and Services
  • Demonstrated experience advocating for clients

 

A Working with Children Check and Criminal Record Check will be required for the successful applicant
