About the Role

Meli is excited to advertise for the role of Intake Support Officer in Geelong. This position is part-time (0.8 FTE) and is fixed term until 28 June 2024. The role is situated within the Barwon Orange Door, and reports to a Child and Family Team Leader. The position will be involved in the day-to-day administrative functions of the Orange Door, including processing the referrals for the Screening Identification and Triage (SIT) team. A key function of the role includes assisting with brokerage and maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative assistance relating to referrals and the processing of invoices using MS Office Programs and CRM systems.
  • Work closely with the Team Leaders (including Child and Family, Specialist Men’s Service and other Hub Team Leaders) in processing referrals based on prioritisation of need and management of systems to ensure a seamless and efficient intake system.
  • Review, process and record sensitive client information relating to family violence and child wellbeing concerns accurately on the Hub Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Review and maintain effective administrative, data and client filing systems that is in line with policies and procedures, and accreditation standards.
  • Provide administrative support for brokerage for all Orange Door staff, including monitoring the inbox, liaising with Meli Finance and Practice Leaders, and processing invoices for payments of goods and services.
  • Contribute to the development of processes and systems to improve quality of service.

About You

  • A Bachelor or working towards a qualification in social work or other relevant disciplines.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative support role
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high level of organisational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
