We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced family worker to join our Intensive Family Support team based in Jimboomba.
You will be part of a small multi-disciplinary team working in family homes to support children’s wellbeing from a strength’s perspective.
In this role you will have autonomy to be creative in how you work with families, while being supported by your colleagues and management.
You will be trained in the use of assessment and case planning tools with a strong focus on risk assessment and working in collaboration with the Child Safety Principal Child Protection Practitioner.
The YFS integrated approach will enable you to work with experienced practitioners from a variety of disciplines including Domestic and Family Violence, Housing and Functional Family Therapy-Child Welfare to develop solutions to meet family needs.

Pay range: $94,160 to $96,182 a year based on experience, with salary sacrificing available
In this role you will:
- develop and provide purposeful and tailored support plans for complex families with multiple needs
- mentor families by providing practical parenting strategies and links with specialist supports
- work across the Browns Plains / Beaudesert regions from our Jimboomba base
- undertake flexible home visits, which may occasionally be scheduled outside of core business hours
- have professional development opportunities.
