We strive to provide professional, evidence-based services, specifically designed to enable individuals to reach their full potential, and live rich and fulfilled lives. www.infinitycs.org.au

Kummara and Infinity Community Solutions known as KICS have been working in partnership for 6 years providing support to children, young people and families through Secondary Family Support and Kinship and Foster Care services and now through Intensive Family Support.

KICS will be operating two (2) Intensive Family Support services – one in Brisbane South/Southwest and one in Caboolture.

About the Service:

The Intensive Family Support (IFS) program supports families experiencing multiple and/or complex needs with children unborn to 18 years of age who may be at risk of entering the statutory child protection system without support. The aim of IFS services is to provide intensive and extended, but time limited, in-home support to improve family functioning and safety for children by building the skills and capacity of parents/caregivers to a level that can be sustained by less intensive and more universally available services.

About the roles:

We are recruiting for multiple roles to fill both services including Managers (x2), Senior Practitioners and Family Support Practitioners.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Leadership positions only: Minimum of 2 – 5 years’ experience in similar management/leadership role within a Not for Profit/Non-Government Organisation with a focus on evidence-based practice.
  • A 3- or 4-year tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or related discipline.
  • Hold sound knowledge and understanding of the Queensland Child Protection system.
  • An in depth understanding of the complex challenges facing families in contemporary society and a sound understanding of risk assessment frameworks.
  • Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
  • A valid Queensland Drivers Licence.
  • You must hold a positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or be able to obtain, along with any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

APPLICATIONS:

All applications must be submitted via seek. Please provide a current resume along with a cover letter (no more than 2 pages) outlining your fit against the mandatory role requirements listed above. Please include which position you are applying for and which service (i.e. Brisbane South/Southwest or Caboolture).
