Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate International Student Welfare Officer to join our Cocoon International College. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive welfare support and guidance to our international students, ensuring their well-being and academic success.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs to support the welfare and social integration of international students. This will include to travel assistance, collection from the airport and accommodation assistance.
  • Provide guidance and support to international students, addressing their academic, social, and personal concerns.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to identify students who may require additional support services.
  • Maintain accurate student welfare records and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Organise cultural and social activities to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for international students.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders and agencies to access additional support services for students when necessary.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualification or experience in Immigration Services, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field highly desired.
  • Proven experience working with international students in an educational or welfare setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathise and build rapport with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of RTO compliance requirements related to international students.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the challenges faced by international students studying abroad.
