Lead Counselor Advocates Team WestCASA

JOB DESCRIPTION

WestCASA is a community based not-for-profit sexual assault, family violence and trauma-focused counselling service that has been operating in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne for the past 30 years. WestCASA provides counselling, a crisis response, advocacy, education and training and is located in the Multi-Disciplinary Centre (MDC) in Werribee, with outreach to Aintree, Footscray, Wyndham Vale and the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC, a women’s prison) at Deer Park.

We partner with the Gatehouse Centre, Victoria Police (Sexual Offences & Child Abuse Investigation Teams – SOCIT & the Westgate Family Violence Unit), IPC Health, GenWest, and Child Protection in the Multidisciplinary Centre (MDC) in the City of Wyndham.

The role

WestCASA’s catchment zone covers 5 of the fastest growing and most multicultural local government areas in Australia. We are seeking a dynamic people leader as we work towards growing a workforce that is a representative snapshot of our community, and the victim/survivors we are dedicated to supporting. Your demonstrated ability to manage a team equals your clinical knowledge and experience in a trauma recovery environment. This could include, but is not limited to, family violence, refugee/asylum seeker, sexual/intimate partner violence related trauma.

This role will support, develop, and lead an exceptional team of dedicated and experienced Counsellor Advocates based at the Wyndham Multi-Disciplinary Centre.

WestCASA is a not-for-profit organisation with a community-based Board of Governance and a member of the state-wide peak organisation of sexual assault services, SAS Victoria. Services are funded by the Victorian Government.

$100,000 - $104,999 plus super + salary packaging
