What you’ll do:

  • Working with participants with a range of presenting needs including complex care, intellectual disabilities, communication difficulties, mental health and behaviours of concern
  • Providing high quality specialist care to participants in order to optimise and  improve their health outcomes and psychological wellbeing
  • Sharing best practice and the latest behavioural interventions through training and supporting colleagues
  • Assisting Identitywa workers in the understanding and adjustments of  attitudes, expectations and behaviour.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Experience working in the disability sector and with NDIS
  • Current suitability confirmed by NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission at the Advanced or Specialist level.
  • Undergraduate qualifications in Allied Health, Psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis
  • Experience in clinical supervision and training of proficient and core practitioners
  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience working with people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or other disabilities who engage in severely challenging behaviours of concern
  • Full registration with AHPRA, or Speech Pathology Australia (if applicable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to share ideas and think outside the box
