About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Lead for our Counselling team made up of Psychologists and Social Workers who is looking for a rewarding role providing psychological interventions and team leadership.  The majority of the work entails one-on-one counselling across a broad range of presenting issues.  The Clinical Leadership component of the role will involve file reviews, mentoring, clinical guidance and the maintenance of an ongoing PD calendar for the team. 

For the right applicant, an opportunity exists to extended the duties to include the provision of general recommendations to clients regarding wellness improvements to their workplace and improvements to workplace processes to assist with a reduction of future psychological injuries as well as the delivery of training and development.

This is a position which would suit a psychologist who enjoys diversity and working independently but wants to lead a dynamic team. 

The role will be primarily located in Mile End where staff enjoy undercover parking and can benefit from the onsite gym and hydrotherapy pool.  We are however able to base the position at Elizabeth or Gillman if that is better suited to our preferred applicant.

Skills and Experience

Unconditional AHPRA registration as a psychologist is required as well as the ability to successfully undertake various Police Checks and other clearances as required by our clients.  Recognition as a AHPRA approved supervisor would be highly advantageous. 

You will have extensive experience in the delivery of 1:1 clinical services, preferably in the occupational setting.  Exposure to the role of a psychologist in the Return To Work (RTW) environment is desirable.  Experience in leading and motivating a team of clinicians is not critical however you must be able to demonstrate your desire to take this step in your career.

This role can be full time, with the balance of hours made up by your own patient load or part time, focusing primarily on the Clinical Lead activities with a more limited patient load.
