Role Detail
As the Lecturer, Counselling, you will be required to provide an educational service of training, assessment and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives.  You will work closely with industry partners to co-facilitate across different organisational contexts. 
Using your skills and experience in your specialty field, you will have a desire and willingness to impart your knowledge and skills onto others.  You will be driven to keep up to date in the industry and continually develop skills in the role.

To be the successful applicant you must have:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or Diploma/higher level qualification in adult education;
  • Essential, Diploma of Counselling or Bachelor’s degree with a specific focus on Counselling (refer to industry addendum for desirable qualifications) 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working as a counsellor

Conditions:

  • located at Regency campuses with a willingness to travel to other TAFE SA campuses or industry workplace sites;
  • must be eligible to work in Australia with an appropriate VISA;
  • some out of hours work may be required;
  • have or gain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. Applicants who do not hold either clearance will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC).
