We are seeking a committed and insightful Lived Experience Project Lead to guide the integration of our Peer Worker Model within the StandBy program across QLD, NSW, NT, and VIC. This crucial role focuses on incorporating peer workers with personal experiences in suicide bereavement, enhancing the depth and impact of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Develop and execute detailed implementation plans for the Peer Worker model.
- Lead project teams, coordinate meetings, and manage systems and processes.
- Provide regular progress reports and adapt strategies to achieve deliverables.
- Foster robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and best practice approaches.
- Evaluate and support the Peer Worker program’s development.
- Develop training modules for Lived Experience Peer Workers and assist in recruitment.
People Management and Leadership:
- Advocate for service user rights and co-design in service delivery.
- Embrace a human rights, trauma-informed, and diversity-inclusive approach.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and make decisive actions.
- Demonstrate authentic leadership and inspire team members in a changing environment.
- Manage complex organisational changes with intuitive communication skills.
Essential Experience, Qualifications & Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in health, social services, or business.
- Lived experience of suicide bereavement.
- Strategic thinking, innovation, and effective management skills.
- Strong background in implementation and project management.
- Proven people management and leadership abilities.
- Experience in health, community, or social services sectors (5 years+).
- Peer support training or certifications highly regarded.
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) desirable.
