Local Level Alliance Facilitator Mercy Community

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role

Mercy Community currently has a vacancy for a Local Level Alliance Facilitator to join the Family and Child Connect (FaCC) team in Townsville on a Permanent Full-time basis.

The FaCC service helps vulnerable families connect with services they need to safely care for their children at home. The service helps families access the help they need before problems escalate and require statutory intervention.

You will be responsible for raising awareness of the Family and Child Connect within the community, support the integration of joint case management processes, and support communication and inter-agency processes regarding timely client responses. You will be facilitating the Local Level Alliance, identifying service delivery challenges in the region, encouraging cross agency responses and supporting the community sector to advocate for resources to address the growing needs of the region. This position will be ideal for anyone with experience in the family support sector, particularly prevention and early intervention.

To be eligible for this position you will require (Key Selection Criteria):

  • 3- or 4-year tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Development, Social Science or related discipline and previous relevant experience
  • An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and societies and the issues which impact upon them in contemporary society.
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in community development, including the capacity to develop strong, professional networks and partnerships.
  • Proven skills in developing information and learning packages, and delivering presentations and facilitating seminars for professionals, groups and community participants
  • Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough and COVID-19 or willingness to obtain prior to commencement, unless applicable exemption provided as per the relevant Mercy Communities procedure.
  • Hold a current Queensland Provisional Green or Open Driver’s Licence.
  • Ability to obtain positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.

Benefits

We understand that finding the right organisation and the right team is just as important as finding the right role. As a valued employee of the Mercy family, you will be eligible for:

  • Role specific professional development inclusive of face-to-face and online training in addition to Mercy Community’s induction and training.
  • Flexible working arrangements which can include 1 Rostered Day Off (RDO) per month and negotiated Work from Home (WFH).
  • The opportunity to increase your take home pay with our salary sacrificing benefits – up to $15,900 per annum and up to $2,650 of your pre-tax income to pay for entertainment (meals, holiday accommodation etc).
  • Mercy is a large, growing business with lots of opportunities for promotion and career growth.

This position offers a competitive salary of $67,263 – $83,486 gross per annum in line with level 3 to 4 of our Enterprise Agreement (dependent on qualifications and experience).
