The Ngurratjuta/Pmara Ntjarra Aboriginal Corporation (Ngurratjuta) is a progressive Aboriginal Corporation that supports and maintains the development of opportunities and ongoing success of community-controlled enterprises, initiatives and service delivery. Our new Services team will be opening a Child and Family Centre in Papunya, and we are looking for the right person to be a Manager there and lead a team of four local hires.
The role is one that demands a flexibility of approach, and someone well versed in life on a remote community.
There will be elements of individual case management, as well as working with the local community to find and get access to services that will be of benefit to the community.
The role will be based in Papunya, with responsibility extending to other local communities.
The ideal candidate:
- Must have relevant experience, most likely from a social services background.
- Will have, or will quickly gain, a good understanding of local decision making.
- Has experience in case management.
- Must have lived and worked in a remote community.
- Has staff management experience.
- Understands child protection, as well as the relevant services that are available.
