JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

Catholic Homes is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to Manage the Pastoral Care services team on a full time basis. As the Manager of Pastoral Care Services you will be working with the Pastoral Care team. The successful candidate will provide effective, innovative and dynamic leadership of quality pastoral care services which meet Catholic Homes’ objectives and strategic plans.

The position is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Ensure all pastoral care services are delivered in accordance with to the identified ICD 10 Spiritual Care intervention codes. 
  • Plan appropriate staffing levels and the pastoral budget
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to manage disciplinary matters and grievances according to Catholic Homes’ policies and procedures
  • Achieves agreed KPI’s and working within the budget provided as may be applicable

To be successful in this role you will have/be:

  • Qualifications in a related area to this role
  • Interpersonal skills for leadership
  • Experience in health care and/or aged care
  • Knowledge of health care/aged care ministry, theology, ethics and liturgy
  • Valid driver’s licence 
  • Understanding of the Catholic ethos;
  • Demonstrated understanding and/or proven ability to implement innovative practice
