Winanga-li Aboriginal Child and Family Centre invites applications for the role of Manager in our Permanency Support Program (PSP), focusing on supporting children and young people in statutory care. This position is based in Gunnedah and will service the Upper Hunter, North West, and New England regions, from Muswellbrook to Moree.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the PSP and Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) services, ensuring compliance with NSW Child Safety Standards for Permanent Care.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, promoting excellence in service delivery.
- Strategically manage program development, staff training, and performance.
- Ensure adherence to legislative requirements and quality practice frameworks.
- Manage budgets, funding proposals, and stakeholder reporting.
- Foster strong relationships with government, non-government organisations, and community groups.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in managing non-Government and community-based programs.
- Knowledge of legislative requirements for the NSW Permanency Support Program including familiarity with the NSW Child Safe Standards for Permanent Care, and accreditation requirements.
- Proven skills in strategic planning, submission writing, and budget management.
- Strong interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in staff supervision and workforce management.
- Current NSW Driver’s License.
- Willingness to travel as part of work.

Desirable:
- Qualifications in Management, Social Sciences, or Community Work at diploma level or higher.
