About the role
The Manager (internally known as a Practice Manager) will be managing the business operations, strategic growth, and day-to-day operations of our digital counselling team.
You will work collaboratively with two managers in our Carer Gateway program to co-lead and guide a team of Counsellors and Intake Workers in the day-to-day delivery of client services. You may also support the community management of the forum by overseeing Moderators and Community Builders.
The Carer Gateway Service is a National service operating Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm (non daylight savings) and between 8am and 9pm during daylight savings. In this role you may be required to be on an on-call roster until 8pm.
This role will be responsible for:
- Providing direction, support practitioners of different backgrounds to achieve best practice and client outcomes
- Monitoring quality assurance activities and providing specialist advice to managers on service delivery issues, team performance, and related matters
- Providing ongoing guidance, and training to develop and build staff capability and contribute to their professional development
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders to achieve client, community and funding outcomes
- Carrying a small client caseload
About you
To be able to manage and understand the program you must have experience in case management and counselling, therapeutic group work, training, supervision and have worked in a community service Organisation. Be able to lead, inspire and grow a diverse team of professionals.
Key requirements:
- Industry-relevant experience in coordinating services and supporting individuals and teams to deliver client outcomes
- Relevant program specific qualifications, expertise, and professional membership e.g., AASW, ACA or PACFA
- Demonstrated understanding of child protection, domestic and family violence and other relevant legislation as required by service
- Demonstrated capacity to implement a person centred approach to service delivery
- High level communication skills, strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi task and prioritise
- Experience using electronic client record management systems
- A current Working with Children Check
- Ability to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with CatholicCare’s Mission, Vision and Values
