Manager: Residential / Specialised Support Anglicare Central Queensland

JOB DESCRIPTION

$120,000 + superannuation + salary sacrifice

Full-time – Fixed-term position

We are searching for a new leader to manage and grow our Residential and Specialised Support programs.  Our new Manager will build the business and ensure young people receive the highest quality care from dedicated and capable staff.  Effective oversight of human resources, service delivery, finances, contracts, and licensing/ accreditation will ensure success in this position. 

Residential Care: supports young people from a therapeutic approach ensuring each young person receives individualised supports and care to promote physical, emotional, and psychological wellness. Our team supports young people in our 24/7 Residential Care homes and in the community.

Specialised Support:
Next step extended and post care: supports young people by providing culturally appropriate, proactive, and practical support as they transition from care. This service is available for young people aged 15-25 who have been in care since their 12th birthday.
Individual Placement Support (IPS): This fee for support is tailored to meet the needs of young people within the child protection system and can be provided in the home, residential and community by our staff.

What are we looking for?

  • A passionate leader with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience at a management level.
  • Our new Manager will hold a bachelor’s degree in social or behavioural sciences, social work or psychology.

We ask all applicants to address the below Selection Criteria in their application:

  1. Demonstrated experience at a managerial level in community services, child protection, government relations, funding, and growth across a geographically diverse portfolio.
  2. A sound knowledge and understanding of Commonwealth, State and Local Government policies, policies, programs, legal and compliance frameworks relevant to child protection services.
  3. Contemporary knowledge of principles, practices, theory, and philosophies that underpin service delivery approaches towards participant outcomes.
  4. A high degree of drive, initiative, motivation, and outcome orientation with the capacity to think strategically and deal with multiple and often conflicting priorities.
  5. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships and to share specialist knowledge and technical skills within a team environment.
  6. Strong financial capability, including a commitment to producing consistently good financial results within the framework of program and achieving program growth.
  7. The ability to build and lead a cohesive team to develop the program in line with the organisations vision and strategic direction.
