Centacare North Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation that provides counselling, family support, mediation, family dispute resolution, disability services, education and courses, crisis housing and homelessness support, youth services, community engagement and NDIS services. Centacare services the North Queensland community from offices in Townsville, Ayr, Bowen, Mt Isa, Cloncurry, Longreach and Normanton.
Counselling Intervention Service / ROSA aims to provide counselling and support to families referred by the Department if Child Safety so they can work on challenges that are impacting on having a stable and safe home environment.
BRIDGE Specialised Counselling and Support Service is an early intervention program that aims to enhance family dynamics and promote healthy relationships.

Joining a values-driven, supportive and inclusive team, you will:
- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate strategies for operational management and development of the Townsville Bridge and ROSA programs to meet agreed organisational performance goals and objectives.
- Management of the daily operation of the Townsville Bridge and ROSA programs in providing support, line management, performance management, clinical direction, management of referrals and waitlists, and allocation of cases to staff.
- Support staff to navigate complex cases and collaborate effectively with Child Safety staff in navigating the child safety service system.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Psychology, or Behavioural Sciences and minimum of 5 years’ experience in social or community services management.
- Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating program operational plans.
- Ability to support, guide and manager staff in remote regions, focused upon a collaborative approach to service delivery across the Townsville and Mount Isa regions and in accordance with Departmental requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in program and team management and experience in applying contemporary management processes relevant to program and organisational goals.
