About the Opportunity
Centacare is looking to appoint the role of Manager – Specialist Supports.
Reporting to the General Manager Disability and Aged Care, the position will lead a team of Practitioners to provide specialist behaviour supports to NDIS participants.
About You:
You will be an experienced Practitioner with a commitment to social justice and to achieving exceptional outcomes for clients.
You will have:
- A Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline including Psychology, Social Work, Behavioural Science or other.
- Registration as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner – Advanced or Specialist level.
- Extensive experience in supervising Behaviour Support Practitioners and reviewing PBSPs.
- Understanding the role of the Quality and Safeguards Commission and the Rules and Practice Standards as they apply to Behaviour Support and Therapeutic Supports.
- Sound problem solving skills and the ability to work in a flexible environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with excellent time management capability.
- Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, National Police Check (current within 6 months) and a Driver’s Licence.

About the Role
- Responsibility for all components of Behaviour Supports delivery including supervising the team team and ensuring services are delivered to NDIS participants according to scope of practice, best clinical practice and within the scope of each person’s plan.
- Provide feedback on Plans via a review process that will support Behaviour Support Practitioners (BSP) towards quality outcomes for clients.
- Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders including participants, their families, guardians, and staff to ensure that participant’s needs are met.
- Drive a culture of positive engagement and continuous improvement within the team and the wider Behaviour Support team.
- Ensure high quality of service delivery, commitment to ethics, and values by working within the principles of Best Practice in Positive Behaviour Support.

In recognition for your qualifications and experience, you will be provided with an attractive remuneration package circa $125K which includes 12% superannuation and the option to salary package up to $15,900 per year (reduce your taxable income!).
