JOB DESCRIPTION

Located in Clayton, Part-time, Permanent

  • The worker will deliver services within the family violence framework including NTV, MARAM, FVISS, and CISS
  • $51.8958 per hour

We are seeking a motivated person who identifies as male to join us part time (working 45.6 hours/fortnight) as our MBCP Practitioner.

What you’ll be doing in this role?

Reporting to the Team Leader Family Violence the role of the MBCP Practitioner works in collaboration as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The MBCP Practitioner conducts assessments, responds to referrals from all area, provides assessment of men’s readiness for change, co-facilitate men’s groups in the Local Government areas identified and make referrals to relevant services both internal and external where appropriate.

Your work will include:

  • Facilitate Men’s Behaviour Change Group
  • Work collaboratively with the partner contact workers
  • Participation in the case management of client in conjunction with other providers as required and with client’s permission
  • Provide case work support to eligible men who have been displaced by family violence

What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology and/or related degree with substantial experience; or associate diploma level with substantial experience in the relevant service stream; or be willing to undertake further study in the next 5 years to meet minimum qualifications as per Recommendation 209 of The Royal Commission into Family Violence
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • A current Working with Children Check (Employee) or VIT Registration
