JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Family Violence program is growing and we are seeking outstanding candidates to join our family violence perpetrator responses program in a permanent full-time role. Part-time also considered. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced counsellors to facilitate effective and sustainable behaviour change via the delivery of education, behavioural strategies and support to enable men to establish more positive and respectful relationships, particularly within their family.

Our family violence team is undergoing significant expansion and the Family Violence programme has grown substantially. We are committed to ensuring the safety of women and children experiencing family violence and invite men who use violence an opportunity to change their behaviour.

To be Successful in this Role you

  • Will need a Social Work qualification or relevant experience, in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications requirements for specialist family violence practitioners** – see position description;
  • Will have extensive experience working within the family violence sector;
  • Will have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and practice frameworks relating to family violence practice;
  • Will be an experienced Men’s Behaviour Change Principle Facilitator
