Salary: $108,595 – $112,114 base salary per annum

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the newly established Men’s Health Service. The St Vincent’s Nelune Men’s Health Centre is part of Medical Oncology at St Vincent’s Hospital and the Kinghorn Cancer Centre and will bring together some of Australia’s leading prostate cancer experts, within a single campus, to provide definitive, world-class healthcare. Our experienced team has expertise in urology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, cancer genetics, Theranostics, psychology, allied health and nursing.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Social Worker who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are experienced in the area of oncology, prostate cancer and Men’s health and can demonstrate advanced reasoning skills and operate with minimum direct clinical supervision.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent tertiary qualification creating eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) with demonstrated experience in clinical health social work settings with high level clinical skills in oncology and/or prostate cancer.
  • Demonstrated experience in community development and working in partnership with services providers.
  • Demonstrated competencies and experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement and skills in providing education and supervision of staff and students
  • Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to undertake and lead clinical planning, research, quality and education projects.
  • A current NSW Driver’s licence
