Healthy North Coast (Limited) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of health services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes, and improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time. Their priority areas include mental health, suicide prevention, drug and alcohol treatment, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, population health, aged care, maternal and child health, digital health, and the health workforce.
About the role:
In response to the significant flood events in the Northern Rivers region, Mental Health and Wellbeing Flood Recovery positions will play a valuable role in working across flood affected local government areas in the Northern NSW region to support:
- direct place based mental health and wellbeing linkages to clinical and non-clinical services and support
- ensuring initiatives and service offerings are locally relevant and impactful
- establish strong local networks and relationships for collaboration and integrated support
- ensure that gaps and emerging issues are identified and shared with relevant agencies.
About you:
Experience gained within a community or health related sector will be highly regarded, as will a tertiary qualification in a related field. Mental Health and Wellbeing Flood Recovery Navigators will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive initiatives that meet immediate psychological and social and emotional needs of community, build social connection, and improve health and wellbeing outcomes on the North Coast.
