Your Opportunity

As the Mental Health & Wellbeing Support, you will be an integral member of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing portfolio, providing a range of administrative supports which contribute to the effective operations of the Mental Health & Wellbeing function.

This position reports to the Mental Health & Wellbeing Manager.

This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 17 May 2024 unless otherwise determined.

The position will be based primarily at Mount Gravatt however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Mental Health & Wellbeing Manager to assist in the development, tracking and data collation of mental health & wellbeing programs, initiatives and training.
  • Perform general administration duties including record maintenance, processing a range of administrative documentation and forms, create and maintain registers and information systems. 
  • Provide a range of basic reports (regular and ad hoc) to ensure accurate and efficient services utilising various software packages including word processing, spread sheeting and data input. 
  • Manage and maintain SharePoint  / Teams documents, including creation, maintenance and updating of any project logs and assisting with maintaining checklists and collation of documents, data and feedback and ensure it is recorded and stored appropriately.
  • Maintain the data integrity and privacy of a range of employee details, registers and information systems needed to ensure mental health and wellbeing activities, reporting and trend analysis capabilities. 
  • Support the development of internal capability (training) tools and resources, and implementation of proactive mental health and wellbeing programs.
  • Support the review and periodic updating of tools, systems, resources and processes of work, including documentation review.
  • Create and utilise risk registers, employee feedback, data and statistics to inform planning and decision making to address psychosocial risks in the workplace.
  • Comply with quality policy, procedure and process documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency in work performed and undertake research and development on matters in relation to workplace mental health and wellbeing. 
  • Provide administrative support to other Health, Safety and Wellbeing team projects and activities as and when required and directed by the Mental Health & Wellbeing Manager.

How you will be assessed

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  1. Well-developed writing skills, including the ability to effectively utilise a range of computer software packages including the creation of Microsoft Excel documents and data manipulation.
  2. Proficiency in SharePoint to assist in the creation and maintenance of registers, documents and reporting.
  3. High level communication skills and the ability to prepare accurate basic written correspondence, notes and records.
  4. Possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Display the initiative, positive attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment

Qualifications/Requirements

Highly desirable requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in excel, SharePoint and stakeholder communication.
  • An interest in Mental Health & Wellbeing initiatives and programs
