  • $88,644.40 to $106,834 P.A. (paid pro rata)

As a Clinician in the Hamilton Centre and AOD Pathways, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to individuals facing drug and/or alcohol concerns within the context of psychological or social complexity.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Excellence: Utilize your clinical knowledge and skills in AOD and Mental Health to provide exceptional care. Be a role model within the clinical team and adhere to Eastern Health Policies, Standards, and Practice Guidelines.

  • Strategic Contribution: Play a key role in planning, developing, and operating the Hamilton Centre and AOD Pathways. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, effective, and responsive clinical operations.

  • Seamless Communication: Work closely with the broader Hamilton Centre, Mental Health, and AOD service system to establish a smooth referral process and seamless communication.

  • Support Hub: Manage the SCS helpline (AOD Pathways and 1800 Hamilton) on a rostered basis. Assist mental health clinicians, Other Health Professionals, Clients, and Families seeking support from our services.

  • Expert Consultation: Provide secondary consultation to clinicians in the mental health and AOD service system, contributing to improved treatment outcomes.

  • Guidance and Mentorship: Offer guidance, mentoring, and coaching to health clinicians, consumers, families, and carers in service navigation.

  • Collaborative Approach: Attend team meetings and actively contribute to workload allocation and clinical review meetings, fostering an environment that values autonomy within a collegiate setting.

  • Enhanced Partnerships: Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders across Turning Point, Eastern Health, and other AOD services, enhancing the mentorship of mental health clinicians.

  • Resource Expertise: Develop knowledge of local and statewide resources and services, guiding referrals, linkages, and advocacy to proactively improve client access.
