Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the vital role of Mental Health Clinical Coordinator. Position Overview: Mental Health Clinical Coordinator
As the Mental Health Clinical Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in advancing the Vision of Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation by ensuring the delivery of culturally sensitive and holistic mental health services. We are seeking candidates who can contribute to the organisation goals in the following key areas:
1. Experience in Mental Health Coordination:
Demonstrate your experience in working with Aboriginal individuals experiencing mental health challenges, in particular those impacted by a previous suicide attempt or ideation. Provide detailed examples of your involvement in designing and implementing mental health programs specifically tailored to address the unique needs of the Aboriginal community. Showcase your ability to establish rapport, trust, and understanding in mental health support contexts.
2. Education and Qualifications:
Detail your relevant education and qualifications in fields such as VI Mental Health Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related discipline. Emphasize how your educational background has provided you with a deep understanding of mental health issues within the context of the Aboriginal community, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care.
3. Leadership and Team Management:
Illustrate your strong leadership skills, highlighting instances where you have led, motivated, and managed a diverse team. Discuss specific strategies you have employed to promote cultural safety and holistic care within your team. Showcase your ability to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that aligns with Moorditj Koort’s Vision.
4. Organizational Skills:
Highlight your exceptional organizational skills, emphasizing your ability to prioritize tasks and maintain efficient operations. Provide examples of how you have managed competing priorities while ensuring the smooth execution of mental health programs.
