About the Role

  • Full time, Permanent role available  
  • Nurses Award 2020 (Level 2) $93,168 – $97,891 or Health Professional & Support Services Award 2020 (Level 2) $88,406 – $ 98,899 per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

The Mental Health Clinical Support Coordinator will have a background in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing or Psychology. 

As a Mental Health Clinical Support Coordinator, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team who: 

  • Deliver high-quality mental health intake, assessment, triage, and referral services 
  • Connect people seamlessly to the most appropriate local service to meet their identified needs, consistent with the ‘stepped care’ approach
  • The clinical team will also ensure continuous care co-ordination between Metro South Health and health service providers for consumers experiencing high levels of distress.

What you will bring to the role? 

  • A Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency essential, or a Social Worker with Australian Association of Social Worker (AASW) membership, or is evidence that they are eligible to have membership with the AASW.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of mental health assessment and supporting consumers with presenting mental health concerns
  • Experience working with client information systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data collection
  • Knowledge of local services particularly relevant to designated program area
  • The ability to form and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Be able to work with individuals from diverse and unique backgrounds
  • Be an honest and transparent individual 

What the role requires

  • National Criminal History Check (Police check) – disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check /Blue Card (Social Workers/Non-AHPRA registered clinicians) required before commencement of work 
  • Current AHPRA or AASW registration 
  • Current Drivers licence 
  • Australian Working Rights 
  • Neami National will require, as part of our condition of employment, that all candidates for this position must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and provide evidence of this
  • Evidence or commitment to gain evidence to meet Queensland Health’s Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements
