About us:

The Gladstone Integrated Service is located in Gladstone and consists of an Adult Mental Health Service, Child and Youth Mental Health Service, Step-Up-Step Down Unit and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service. The Gladstone Integrated Service provides specialised services for the population of Gladstone and the surrounding areas through a range of interventions including assessment, case management, therapeutic treatment, support, consultations and referrals.

About the role:

The Mental Health Clinician will engage in comprehensive consumer focussed mental health consultation, assessment, intervention and training to ensure seamless care for consumers between Mental Health, local public hospitals, and the primary health and community sector.

About you:

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Mandatory qualification/s: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and / or registration with the appropriate registration authority, including any necessary endorsements, to be provided to the employing service prior to the commencement of duty.
  • Social Work: The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification form an accredited tertiary institution in Social Work as well as eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). While not mandatory, status as an AASW accreditation Mental Health Social Worker is highly regarded.
  • Occupational Therapy: The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is mandatory.
  • Psychology: The successful applicant must possess a four year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution and full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate

Total remuneration value of up to $128,706 is comprised of:

  • A salary between $84,086 – $112,805 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
