About your opportunity:

Permanent full-time / Location: Ayr

The community mental health teams provide clinical assessment and evidence-based interventions within a multidisciplinary environment.

The Mental Health Clinician will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other service providers to provide specialist mental health and alcohol and drugs interventions for community members (and their families) across the lifespan who experience complex and severe problems relating to their mental health and/or alcohol, or other drug use disorders.

All rural and remote mental health clinicians are supported to draw on their clinical skills and experience and/or develop skills and knowledge to provide care to an identified subgroup of clients such as children, older persons, and/or those with complex substance use issues.

Generous remuneration package value up to $132,730 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $2941.70 to $4495.00 p.f. (HP3)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements:

  • Proof of qualification (Psychology, Occupational Therapy and Social Work) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check’ from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
  • Possession of class C drivers’ licence.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
