Ballarat Community Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our dedicated team.

The Mental Health Clinician will be responsible for a range of clinical services including treatment coordination, intake, mental state examinations, risk assessment, care planning, case management, group work, and discharge planning.  The role will be both challenging and rewarding while working as a member of a dynamic multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Tertiary qualifications as per clinical discipline (Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Counselling, Alcohol & Other Drugs) with full AHPRA registration or eligible for full membership with AASW.
  • Three doses of Covid 19 vaccine in accordance with Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (TGA) 
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage clients over the telephone and face to face through assessment and triage processes. Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and analyse complex issues with proven conceptual thinking skills for effective problem solving and decision making.
