Fixed Term Part Time (0.8 EFT)

An exciting opportunity has come up to join the BHN Early Intervention Psychosocial Support Response (EIPSR) team. This innovative program works in partnership with Alfred Mental and Addiction Health to provide a range of flexible individual support and psychosocial rehabilitation options, recreational and therapeutic group activities, and community integration for people living with mental illness and psychosocial disability. The service uses a recovery-oriented model of service and consumer participation is an active part of all program activities.

Ideally, you will possess:

  • A professional qualification in Social work, Occupational therapy or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in working in Community Mental Health.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide evidence based therapeutic support to people in the community with mental health needs.
  • Excellent knowledge of working in partnership with consumers, their carers, families and supporters.
  • A clear understanding of the social model of health, trauma informed care and recovery orientated practice.
