About You

  • You have degree qualification/s and AHPRA registered in either Nursing or Psychology or Occupational Therapy, or Degree qualification in either Social Work or Social Science.
  • You have experience working within a crisis intervention model of care.
  • You have demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to the mental health needs of children and young people (5 to 18 years) and their families.
  • You have a current Australian Drivers Licence and a valid Working With Children Check.

What you’ll be doing

The Health Clinician role provides a professional clinical service as a Social Worker, Psychologist, Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist to young people and their families. 

The position sits within the Consultation and Assessment Team of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The service provides consultation and mental health assessments in an assertive outreach capacity, specifically young people aged Under 18 years old experiencing moderate to severe mental health problems/disorders.  To undertake assessments of children, young people and their families with a range of mental health problems and disorders and to ensure families and carers have input into assessments, care plans and reviews where appropriate.
