Lismore Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services are seeking a highly motivated Health Professional to:
Work in partnership with children and young people, carers and primary care providers to deliver an evidence based response to young people aged 12-18 years with or at risk of serious mental illness. Working towards extending the service to encompass children and adolescents aged 0-18 years with or at risk of serious mental illness. Working therapeutically with children and young people with complex or high needs who may be difficult to engage and their families or carers, as well as organising referrals to appropriate services.
If you have:
- One of the following Tertiary qualifications: Registered Nurse (current List A – NSW Registration, AHPRA) Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist (registered with AHPRA) Occupational Therapist (registered with AHPRA) or Social Worker (eligible for membership of the AASW) To be appointed as a Level 2 Health Professional evidence must be provided of three years’ clinical experience
- Experience and skills in the early identification, assessment and evidence based treatment of children and young people with or at risk of developing serious mental illness and their families and carers
- Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with other key agencies, including an understanding of referral processes and the value of those services to the wellbeing and recovery of the children and young persons and their family/carer.
- Demonstrated ability to resource and build the capacity of partner agencies and service providers in early identification of risk and appropriate referral and support strategies for children and young persons and their carers’. LEVEL 2 ONLY
