Designed to provide clinical and non-clinical support services (both individual and group) to people with a severe mental illness and associated psychosocial functional impairment who are not more appropriately supported through the NDIS. These supports are focused around capacity building and connectedness.
Staffed by a multi-disciplinary team who provide psychosocial supports, clinical care coordination and group psychological therapies; partnered with a number of organisations to provide integrated care.
With a framework based on the Recovery Model, it is strengths-based, client-centred and trauma-informed in practice.
Role overview

Provide comprehensive, evidence based, clinical services to participants of the Recovery and Discovery Centre using a person-centred lens

Undertake clinical assessments using empirically validated measures to assist with diagnostic formulation, treatment planning and evidence required for Disability Support Pension and/or National Disability Insurance Scheme applications

Support the development of, lead and co-facilitate Psychological Therapy Groups as required

Assist with the development and implementation of shared support plans with the wider multi-disciplinary team using a trauma-informed, recovery orientated approach

Participate in case discussions, consultation with team members and clinical review regarding participants’ ongoing support needs
Essential criteria
Appropriate tertiary qualifications and registration, or eligibility for registration with the relevant Board or association as follows:
Nursing – registered nurse with mental health experience
Occupational Therapist – Degree in OT with mental health experience
Social Worker – Degree in SW with mental health experience
Experience in providing clinical assessments and interventions for people living with severe and complex mental health concerns.
