What you’ll be doing

The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.

CAMHS is a specialist Mental Health service providing comprehensive assessments, advocacy, therapy and other specialist’s services for children, adolescents, young people and their families who are experiencing emotional, behavioural or social difficulties. We have a family multidisciplinary approach aimed to prevent, identify, treat and reduce the impact of these difficulties on children, adolescents and their families. We provide short to medium term therapy, generally with a family focus. Interventions may be individual, family or group within a recovery based model.

The CAMHS Mental Health Clinician is required to deliver outpatient treatment, providing specialist mental health services and tertiary consultation to children and young people in a community setting inclusive of other service partners engaged with families within a CAMHS setting.
