About the service:

headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people aged 12-25, who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.

 

About the opportunity:

This is an exciting position for our headspace service, involving the opportunity to conduct group and individual interventions both at schools and at our Hurstville and Miranda Centres.  The successful applicant will be;

  • An experienced Mental Health Practitioner who has a passion for working with young people 
  • Experienced in facilitating high standard therapeutic group interventions to young people presenting with mild to moderate mental health issues
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders
  • The role will be co-located at one or more schools during school terms, and headspace Centres Hurstville and Miranda during school holidays

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA or relevant body.
  • Hold one of the following qualifications: Clinical Psychologist, General Psychologist, Mental health Accredited Social Worker or Mental Health Accredited Occupational Therapist. 
  • Experience developing and facilitating evidence-based group programs
  • Experience liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to contribute to the professional development of self and others through education, professional networking and application of evidence based practice.
  • Demonstrating a great level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
  • Full Drivers License
