About your opportunity
The Ingham Community Mental Health Service is currently seeking to recruit a Mental Health Clinician to their team on a fixed term temporary full-time basis, commencing ASAP up to 6 January 2023. This position is based in Ingham.
The Mental Health Clinician will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other service providers to provide specialist mental health and alcohol and drugs interventions for community members (and their families) across the lifespan who experience complex and severe problems relating to their mental health and/or alcohol, or other drug use disorders.
Clinicians are supported to draw on their current skills and experience and/or develop skills and experience to provide care to an identified subgroup of clients such as children, older persons, and/or those with complex substance use issues.
Generous remuneration package value up to $9,916 p.m. (HP3) or $9,895 p.m. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1) comprising:
- Salary range of $2719.80 to $3997.60 p.f. (HP3) or $3714.50 to $3977.40 p.f (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1)
- 4, 5, 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
Requirements
- It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Proof of qualification (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Pscyhology or Social Work), registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Blue Card requirements.
- Highly desirable:
- Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
- Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing.
- While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016.
- Formal training or qualifications in individual or group therapies.
- Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of specialist Mental Health Services (MHSG) to maintain appropriate registration and/or association requirements is a requirement of all staff within the MHSG.
- Possession of class C drivers’ licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
- All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
