Social Outreach services are available to all members of the community and can be accessed free of charge or at minimal cost. 

The Position

St John of God Social Outreach, Raphael Services are a community based service that provide specialised mental health (including psychiatric) services to parents and families during pregnancy and up to the child?s fourth birthday, at no cost to our clients.

Applications are now invited from registered Psychologists, Social Workers or Occupational Therapists to commence as Mental Health Clinicians within our multidisciplinary teams located in Bendigo and Ballarat. Professionals with substantial experience working with women and families experiencing psychological, social and psychiatric problems during the perinatal period will be highly regarded.

Applicants must have relevant AHPRA Registration and be eligible for a Medicare provider number to be considered.

These positions may be offered on a permanent full time or part time basis and provides the opportunity to practice alongside other health professionals also committed to improving the lives of people within our community.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Currently hold or eligible for Medicare provider number.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and clinical experience in mental health.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience providing a range of psychotherapeutic intervention to individuals, families and groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to effectively liaise with referrers and other service providers.
