  • $41.61 – $45.51 p/Hr + Super + Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults? EACH is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinician to provide psychological interventions in residential aged care facilities located across the Mid North Coast of NSW. As Mental Health Clinician, you will have the unique opportunity to make a profound impact by supporting the well-being of older individuals through in-reach interventions that foster connection and engagement with families and local supports.

Using a range of modalities, including face-to-face sessions and digital technology, you will deliver high-quality specialist counselling to older adults experiencing mental health difficulties. Our model of care prioritizes place-based activation, peer connection and skill building, and personalized 1:1 therapeutic support.

Working across various sites, you will ensure flexibility and responsiveness in delivering client services. Collaboration is key as you seek opportunities to work alongside other support services, fostering coordinated client care.

 

Qualifications

To thrive in this position, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in providing individual counselling therapy
  • Expertise in mental health, trauma, vulnerabilities, and family conflict
  • Familiarity with the services and networks available in the Mid North Coast of NSW
  • Recommended doses of COVID 19 Vaccination for work in Aged Care setting

Highly regarded Qualifications and/or Certifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, mental health nursing
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with dementia or other related condition

Your demonstrated understanding of the social model of health and mental health recovery principles and processes, coupled with your experience in providing therapeutic approaches will assist you in the success of this position.
