Mental Health Clinician | Older Persons Mental Health Cornerstone Medical Recruitment

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join the Older Persons Mental Health Team on a fulltime basis for a 3-6 month contract. The Mental Health Clinician will provide recovery focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for older people who are referred to the service with a mental illness, mental disorder or moderate-severe behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. As a clinician you will provide ongoing assessment, treatment and follow-up for consumers over the age of 65, experiencing significant Mental Health challenges. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive clinical service through the provision of assessment, case management and individual therapies, including specialised therapies for clients and their families or carers.
  • Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions for clients with major and complex mental health problems, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.
  • Function as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
  • Prepare specialised reports as required.

  
About You

  • Completed Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Nursing
  • Current registration with AASW or AHPRA
  • Experience in Community Mental Health or Older Persons Mental Health
  • Demonstrated experience working adults or older persons mental health service

  
Salary

  • Casual Rates of $70 p/h + Super + Free Share Accommodation + Travel allowance .
