JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to successful funding and increased business, we have a brand new full time Mental Health Clinician position, based at headspace Redcliffe. We are offering a max term contract until end of June 2024. Depending on funding, there may be the possibility of extension.

 

If you are a Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, Mental Health Accredited Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker and you are passionate about improving the lives of young people, we want to meet you! As our Mental Health Clinician you will provide contemporary, evidence based psychological support services to our clients.

You will have experience working with mental health and well-being across a broad client base, leading to the provision of inclusive and high-quality therapeutic services, with a recovery and strengths-based focus. Experience working with young people and their families is highly desirable.

 

The headspace intake team will undertake a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of all young people prior to referral to our Mental Health Clinicians. A range of on-site complementary services are available should additional supports be required, including Alcohol and Other Drug counselling, Vocational and Educational support, reproductive and sexual healthcare and group programs. The headspace team will work in partnership with Mental Health Clinicians to provide a comprehensive, wrap-around service for young people.

 

Key Requirements

  • Clinical Psychologists, Psychologists and nurses must hold full registration with AHPRA
  • Social Workers must be Mental Health Accredited with the AASW
  • Occupational Therapists must have Better Access to Mental Health endorsement from OT Australia
