Mental Health Clinician – Orygen Recovery (YPARC)

Your new team:
- The Orygen Youth Prevention & Recovery Care (YPARC) is a pivotal sub-acute bed-based residential 24 hours, 7 days a week program supporting young people aged 15-25 stepping up/down to intervene early and prevent further deterioration.
Your new role:
- Support team on shift-by-shift basis, leading clinical interventions, mental health risk assessment, formulation and treatment planning
- Escalation of care – liaise with other services within Orygen and community services
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, share discipline-specific insight, supervision and training
- Work with lived experience workforce and families/carers to support young people with their recovery goals
- Provide inclusive and sensitive practice to young people and their families/carers from Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, CALD and LGBTQIA backgrounds
About you:
- 2+ years’ experience in mental health as well as advanced clinical skills, assessment and management of high-risk clinical situations
- Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Psychologist with relevant registration and qualifications
- Knowledge of mental health system of care, the common mental health and substance use issues faced by young people, and evidence-based treatments for major adolescent health issues
