Mental Health Clinician (Psychologist, Social Worker, OT, Registered Nurse)

Are you a highly motivated, enthusiastic Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Registered Nurse ready to join our Allied Health Team in both an inpatient and outpatient setting?
As a Mental Health Clinician your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and facilitate evidence based group therapy for mental health concerns and addiction (CBT, Positive Psychology, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing etc.)
- Facilitate group therapy to patients with a broad range of moderate to severe psychopathology, including psychoeducation and skills based sessions
- Have strong risk assessment and safety planning skills
- Work collaboratively with admitting psychiatrists, Allied Health clinicians and Nursing Staff to ensure appropriate Care Planning
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively

Located on the bank of the South Pine River, our 70 bed mental health facility provides comprehensive inpatient and day programs for our Queensland community. As a leading provider, we specialise in the treatment of addiction, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD and complex PTSD management and chronic pain management. We also deliver specialised therapies in EMDR, TMS and ECT.
About you:
To be successful in your application, you will need to meet the requirements below:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- Appropriate tertiary qualification/s pertaining to specific discipline/designation
- Registration with AHPRA as relevant
- Experience and expertise in the delivery of a broad range of evidence based therapeutic approaches, including but not limited to CBT, DBT, ACT.
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and patient focused
- Experience in trauma therapy and/or EMDR (desirable)
- Experience and/or knowledge in treatment of addiction (desirable)
- For Social Workers:
- Membership with the AASW with Mental Health Accreditation (desirable).
- For Psychologists:
- Master or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (desirable)
- Recognised endorsement of Clinical Psychology practice with AHPRA (desirable)
- Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor (desirable)
