Mental Health Clinician/Practitioner

Do you have a passion for the mental health and the well-being of others? 

About the role:

This is an ideal role for a capable, compassionate telephone based Mental Health Clinician/Practitioner, who enjoys assessing and linking consumers to support from the appropriate service. A full time role in standard office hours from Monday to Friday, it will run for a 12-month period (with a view to extend).  

The aim of the role is to assist clients in navigating the complex and changing landscape of services within the primary care sector, and promotes awareness-building of current service systems and linkages. 

 

About you

You will have: 

  • Relevant qualifications within the health profession such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Health Promotion, Public Health, Sociology, or Occupational Therapy would be well regarded (with registration and eligibility for membership of relevant discipline professional body where applicable) 
  • Strong sector experience in community Mental Health or Drugs and Alcohol, or other relevant experience in a similar role 
  • A working knowledge of Mental Health Services and supports 
  • The ability to successfully engage over the telephone with and assess people from diverse backgrounds, including those from high-risk groups
