Be Recruitment is seeking a Psychologist (provisional/general) or Social Worker to join a community-based mental health team in Penrith. This opportunity will deliver assessments, brief intervention, case management and care coordination to young people ages 12-25 at risk of mental illness. 

This role specifically supports young people experiencing a first episode of psychosis or is at risk of experiencing psychosis. 

Duties:

• Provide assessment, brief intervention, care coordination, case management and support to young people aged 12-25 years and their families that are at risk of mental illness 
• Responsible for delivering individual and group based therapy. 
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders and implement strategies and initiatives to provide support to young people, including group work and educational sessions 
• Work independently and in a team when performing complex or critical tasks in a responsible manner
• Sound understanding of the challenges and sensitive issues that young people with mental health risks are faced with
• Demonstrated experience in using a recovery framework and strength-based approaches 

Requirements:

• Previous experience within a community based Mental Health program
• Current NSW driver’s license is essential
• NSW Working With Children Check
• Social Work degree qualification and membership or eligibility for AASW or Psychology degree and provisional or general AHPRA registration
