Mental Health Clinician – Psychologist / Social Worker / Occupational Therapist POP Psychology

JOB DESCRIPTION

Year on year, our practice is growing in strength as we pursue our Mission to provide unique, flexible, creative, and fun therapy experiences that are truly non-stigmatising. All registered mental health clinicians provide evidence based therapies that work – we are more interested in the client’s experience of therapy. Our therapy style has personality, and we want our clients to feel at home in our quirky and enlivening space.

At Pop! Psychology, we have:

  • A commitment to providing leadership as a trauma-informed workplace
  • An investment in a learning culture, with the provision of in-house supervision and professional development
  • An imperative to live by our values – we prioritise Impact, Imperfection, Intentionality, and Idiosyncracy

Our clinicians are offered:

  • The option of contracting or employed position – though this may vary according to the demands of the role
  • A fair and manageable caseload, with time set aside for paperwork, supervision, and session preparation
  • Flexible hours and settings – our main hub is in Red Hill, as well as telehealth work from home, outreach to Mt Gravatt or West End, and home visiting (perinatal clients)
  • Opportunities to diversify your work
  • An amazing team environment, truly gob-smacking interiors, team events, endless cups of tea, and excellent admin support
  • A remuneration package commensurate with your experience and skill, with our employees paid well above the award rate and contractors earning between $97,000 and $150,000 FTE per annum.

You should apply if:

  • You are able to offer a minimum of two shifts per week. Availability during afternoon/evenings and weekends is also desirable.
  • You are eligible for medicare rebating (hold a general Psychology registration or Social Work / Occupational Therapy mental health accreditation).
  • You have a passion for the creative arts (design, film, fashion, literature, art music), and a propensity to think outside of the box.

Due to our expansion, we have entry-level right up to senior roles available – we can accommodate the right therapist at any point in their training.

Those with an interest and/or experience in the below areas of practice will be highly sought after:

  • Trauma – especially EMDR trained
  • Child, adolescent, family therapy
  • Perinatal psychology
  • Schema therapy
  • Expressive therapies

Are you the type of person who wants to work for a service that offers more than just clinical practice? We nurture our skilled clinicians to help them craft the type of work life that matters to them, and makes them excited to come to work every day.

This might mean opportunities to:

  • Develop specialist skills,
  • Mentor and supervise,
  • Facilitate workshops and training programs,
  • Develop written, audio, and video content
  • Lead and nurture the amazing culture of our team

We’ve just “popped the kettle on” in anticipation of meeting you.

Please provide a cover letter and CV to [email protected], which includes:

  • Your availability and preferred role
  • A description of why you think you will be a good cultural fit for our service
