The Position 

St John of God Social Outreach Services build capacity and support the physical, mental and emotional wellness of vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. We provide community-based care in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Timor-Leste. Mental Wellbeing Services (MWS) is a service within SJOG Social Outreach. It provides high quality primary mental health service for people 16 and above experiencing mental health disorders. It operates in locations across Victoria and WA.  

Mental Wellbeing Services (MWS) provides a range of therapeutic modalities including CBT, ACT, DBT and CPT, focusing on intensive short-term interventions to help people overcome their difficulties and get on with their lives.

Opportunities are now available for Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Social Workers to commence within our multi-disciplinary team located in Ballarat and Bendigo. 

Positions may be offered as either permanent part time with negotiable hours or full time working 76 hours per fortnight and is a great opportunity to join a committed multi-disciplinary team providing a valuable service to the community. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • The ability develop a therapeutic treatment plan tailored to individual client needs based upon a comprehensive assessment.
  • A Medicare Provider Number to provide Focused Psychological Strategies.
  • A desire to work with complex socially disadvantaged clients within a multidisciplinary team.
