Key Community Clinician Mental Health (RPN3, P2, SW2, OT2)

RMH – Older Adult Mental Health Program

 

  • Part Time 0.8EFT Fixed Term until 02/06/24 working a rotating roster.
  • This position is for a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or social Worker

IWAMHS has an exciting opportunity for developing clinicians to deliver excellent interventions and provide community based mental health service. Based in Moonee Ponds, this role is an opportunity to develop skills and experience and contribute to the growth of mental health services in the community.

 

Your new role

  • Deliver evidence based treatment and interventions that support older adults with complex mental health and/or ageing related needs, and to their families and carers
  • Participate in clinical decision making
  • Communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers
  • To work well and autonomously in a small team
  • Ability to work a rotating roster

Your Contribution

  • You have experience as a mental health clinician in either a community or inpatient setting.
  • You are an effective communicator with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers
  • Deliver evidence based treatment and interventions that support older people with complex mental health and/or ageing related needs, and their families and carers
  • Accurately prepare documentation in a timely manner
  • You will make a commitment to undertake professional development related to the role
  • You will have a good understanding of the issues faced by older adults with a mental illness
