We are recruiting for a Mental Health Clinician to work for an excellent not for profit organisations who provide counselling and therapy to young people (12-25 years old). The positions would be to provide medium to long term therapeutic support (6-12+ months) and would be a centre based role. The role is based in the Inner West, close to public transport.

Duties:
- Build and develop strong working relationships with young people, their family and friends as well as other local services, stakeholders and support organisations
- Understand the needs of the person and determine what the care / services are that would be most appropriate
- Work as part of a wider team and contribute to the development of the program and the development of others.
- Provide evidence-based psychological treatment and assessments for young people aged 12 – 25 years, including psychosocial, mental health and risk assessments, care planning, counselling and/or psychoeducational interventions and care coordination for young people and their families.
- Participate in Care Plan and Case Review meetings and participate in case conferences with GPs, other health professionals and relevant services involved in the client’s care as required.
- Where risk is identified, assertively monitor and manage risk of young people, by providing support and intervention as required.
- Maintain accurate records and work in line with the organisations values and goals
Requirements:
- We require someone who is either an Accredited Mental Health Social Workers, or an AHPRA registered Psychologist, Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist
- We are ideally looking for someone with post-qualifying experience and experience in providing therapy – such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
