We are seeking for 2 Mental Health Clinicians to join our join our Infant, Child and Family Wellbeing Service; one full time, ongoing and one part time (0.8 FTE), ongoing.
The Role:
RCH Mental Health comprises community and hospital-based services. This includes three multidisciplinary outpatient teams which are based in Travancore, St Albans and Hoppers Crossing. The Community teams are led by a partnership between Team Coordinator and Consultant Psychiatrist, with the Team Coordinator responsible for the operational functioning of the team, and the Consultant Psychiatrist accountable for driving high quality clinical care across the Team. These positions will be primarily based at the Travancore site however you may be required to work across sites should the needs of the service require this.
You will be responsible for providing high quality tertiary mental health care for children up to 15 years and their families through skilled assessment, treatment, case management and consultation to internal and external stakeholders. You may also be rotated to provide clinical support to our In2School day program periodically.
As part of recommendations from the Victorian Royal Commission into Mental Health we are currently undergoing an exciting service transformation, building our workforce and enhancing our therapeutic programs. Community clinicians are afforded considerable professional development opportunities and valued participation in the service redesign process.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Demonstrate clinical skills and experience in the provision of effective and efficient child and adolescent mental health care
- Demonstrate ability to build and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders to maximise service coordination and cooperation as well as capacity building with community agencies
- Demonstrate interest or experience in research, quality improvement and program evaluation
- Posess a commitment and evidence of evidence-based practice and continuing professional development including and ability to find and apply evidence in decision-making
- Have highly developed written and verbal communication skills and inter-personal skills
- Demonstrate awareness and understanding of legal obligations when working in a CAMHS context in Victoria
- Posess a flexible and adaptable approach to functioning in a team environment that enhances the team’s high performance
